Finally We Have internet!
We left Georgetown early Nov.7 for an anchorage at Whiteside Creek and it was a great spot. We arrived mid day and anchored about a mile up the creek. We were entertained by some dolphins when we arrived. This place is very different than anywhere we have been before. It was like anchoring in the middle of a wheat field. There was sea grass four feet tall all around us for as far as you could see.
Miles and miles of sea grass
You can only see the tops of the boats as you pass by the creeks.
One of the members had an idea to have a dingy raft up at the end of the day and we all had a great time.

I took some pictures at sun down and I think these are some the best pictures I have taken. Remember you can click on the pictures to enlarge them.

So off the next day to Charleston SC to the Charleston Resort Marina at Patriots Point. This is a great marina but it took some damage from the hurricane so there was no WIFI and a lot of docks were missing. On the same dock we are on is the Air Craft Carrier the USS Yorktown (CV-10), the Destroyer USS Laffey (DD-724), The Submarine USS Clamagore (SS-343) and an exhibit The Vietnam Experience. When we arrived we decided to do the important things first, go see these ships!

 Boy she looks mean!

The second day we walked around Charleston. We saw some cemeteries with grave stones from the 1600's. Also some homes from the 1700's.

Here's some guy I met that I didn't like!
This is a picture of the down town market place. This is still the same market place where they use to sell slaves.
Here's a picture of some pirates!
It's been a long time since I have seen one of these trucks. Do you remember the cows name?

Last night we had another anchorage half way to Beaufort SC. It was a cool night and the wind came up late to about 20 knots. Very windy! We arrived in Beaufort around 2pm. We have found out something very interesting about "Beaufort SC". Earlier we were in Beaufort NC. These towns are spelled the same but pronounced different. Beaufort NC is pronounced "Beoofort" and Beaufort SC is pronounced "Beuuufort". If you say it wrong hailing some one on the radio they will not answer you. Today was a cool windy day so we relax for the rest of the day and walk through the town tomorrow.
