We are in the Exumas
We left Palm Cay Resort Wednesday at 9am, we were not in any hurry because we only had 30 miles to reach Allens Cay. We started out with the wind at our nose so there was no sailing. After motoring for 2 hours the wind turned just enough we could sail the rest of the way. What a great day of sailing. The breeze was about 15 knots and the temperature was 80f. I hope all are enjoying the weather back home!. We arrived around 4pm and dropped anchor in a great spot.
Here we are a mile out about to enter into the anchorage.
here's our anchorage spot

Allens Cay is known for the Rock Iguanas that live here. They are protected and they are not to be fed or disturbed. So we went over to have a look at them and try not to disturb them.

We have been here for 3 days because we are trying to find a safe place to anchor while a front moves through on the weekend. The Exumas are great protection from easterlies but this wind will start from the north and then move to the east. So the winds will gust up to 35 to 40 knots so we have to find a place to hide. We decided to go into a marina 6 miles away at Highbourne Cay. It's a little expensive but everything is expensive in the islands. So we decided to go there tomorrow and get on a dock, but today we went to the beach. It was a hot day so we sat in the water and while I sat on the beach my friend came over to say hi.
I think he said his name was Norton
