We Are Back In George Town
After arriving in Hawks Nest Resort Marina to escape the big wind we relaxed for a short period and then early to bed to get some well deserved sleep. It was very nice to be on a secure dock again with power so we could sleep with our fans on.  Next day we had to take advantage of being on a dock and start to do any repairs, and there are always repairs to do. The weather was still blowing and the waves were to big to move so we had one day to work and one day to relax. As we worked on the boat Christine and Don did a little fishing from the beach. They caught a Margate and three trigger fish. They will use the small ones for bait and cook the two big ones. Our second day on the dock was for relaxing on the beach. I had a few more things to do so I sent every one to the beach and I caught up later. Every one couldn't wait to get to the beach because it was so hot. Being in the marina we were protected from the wind so this made it very hot.

We arrived at the beach early so with the heat we ran out of drinks very quickly. Luckily the bar wasn't to far away. We walked to the bar to by some drinks and found that if you want a drink before 5pm you could pour yourself what ever you want! You were on the honor system. So this is what happens when you have free range of a well stocked bar.
Having a great time

And then!

After being stuck on the boat rocking for two days it was a well deserved rest.

Sunday was the day to leave Hawks Nest marina. The wind and waves have settled down and it looked like a great day to sail back to George Town. We left around 8am and once again we had to say goodbye to our great friends Jack and Diane (just like the song). We hope to see them some where next fall. We can't wait to see them because we have a great time together. On the way back to George Town we started off with light wind so we put up the drifter.

This was the last chance for Don and Christine to catch some thing big. We have travelled around 120 miles and still they haven't caught anything. They both had some thing big on there line but it got away.
We arrived in George Town with out any big fish for dinner so we had the two small fish caught from the other day. Monday was Christine's and Don's last day on the boat so with the waves high again we spent the day in town. Tuesday was a busy day for Laurie and I, 5am we were up to get Christine and Don to the airport. Then back to anchor out in the harbor. Tuesday was the start of the George Town Regatta and we were crewing on a 44 foot catamaran "LET IT BE". The winds were 15 knots gusting to 20 so it was a great day to be racing. This race was around Elizabeth harbor, about a 10 mile long course. Thursdays race will be around Stocking Island witch will be about 16 miles.

After the race a well deserved break

Today we will be doing a little work on the boat and maybe head into the beach for a few hours.
